Everything you want in a single video, beautiful locations, scary situations, laughs, and travel infotainment. We take you through every step as we travel from Michigan to Montana, including North Dakota and Montana Badlands, touring a zoo at treetop level, explaining the difference between diesel #1, or premium, and #2. Reaching Glacier National Park, we include you in several hikes, including one where we need to take evasive steps to avoid a Grizzly we encounter on the trail.
We have successfully completed the initial segment of our Summer 2025 journey, culminating in a week-long visit with our friends in western Michigan. They have arranged a delightful location for us, which overlooks the private lake behind their residence. During our stay Lucas reels in a variety of fish, including one notably large Pike. We visit several local farms and highlight a very progress dairy farm. Dan and Kathy take us to Silver Lake Sand Dunes, their favorite place to play in the sand.
This video showcases several interesting sighting and the stops we make on our journey to reunite with our friends in Michigan; including a charming horse farm in Kentucky. We also make a brief stop at a cat scale, where we finally uncover the weight on our truck axles and how much weight we are towing behind us. Even the drive days often present us with unusual and sometimes strange sights. Occasionally our experiences take a much more serious turn, such as at our last stop, when we discover that a tornado has narrowly missed us.
During a quick stop over in Georgia, we detail upgrading our RV solar installation. We detail installing the panels, explore the differences between serial and parallel solar panel grids. We also cover the other components involved in collecting and storing the suns energy. Lastly we mention some of the unique aspects of this installation upon a Brinkley RV.
We take you with us as we travel around the state of Georgia, capturing the springtime blooms, as well as some of the damage that recent storms have left behind. We inject a touch of drama, when we are forced to make a panic stop at a very low train bridge.
Experienced RVers know that winter is the time to avoid travel and to stay put. In this video we share our "hunker down" winter home, the beautiful shores of the Gulf of Florida.
Within our first video of 2025, we take you back to 2024, when we first realized we needed to acquire a larger RV. We take you through that discovery, then the research to find what we wanted and eventually picking up the new RV. The new one is a monster, a 2025 Brinkley Z3610.
Looking back we had an amazing year traveling to many of our top tier national parks. Reflecting back, we wanted to share what we felt were the best of those we visited. This was far harder than I first imagined and I decided to keep it simple, I would make two short videos to cover this information. This is the first video of the pair.
Video 1 provides the first half of the list and in this video we share the second group of truly amazing parks. While the first video shows 6 all from the Colorado Basin region, these parks mainly from the west coast, while one is found on the east coast.
I intentionally organized the videos this way, as, should you decide to visit some of these, they are close together and allow you to affordably follow our path.
We have completed our plans for the our summer travel for 2024 and here's our video where we share those plans with you. More national parks and we pick up the states of Oklahoma and Illinois.
oin us as we tour the Oklahoma City National Memoral, an incredible reflection on the destruction of the Federal Building on April 19, 1995 by Tim McVeigh. In addition to visiting the museum we also engage in a bit of shenanigans as as we splash through a very muddy hike in Central Oklahoma and later visit with some very friendly water fowl at a park in Texarkansas
Great Sands National Park is a wonderful park that is larger forgot due to it's neighbor park, Rocky Mountain National Park. Join us as dive into the many of the GREAT things to do and see here. We spend a week here and do so many things, first and foremost is to head off to the dunes for some family bonding through sandboarding. Not to be overlooked are the several great hikes that we take, including Zapata Falls and the alpine trail Mosca Pass. For the serious adventurer we take you with us as we head out on the Medano Primative Road.
Looking back, we were pleasantly unprepared for, and greatly surprised by, the 4th of July we had in the quintessential American red, white and blue small town of Buffalo, North Dakota.
Arriving here, we’d hope to find a fireworks show somewhere in the area, little did we know, we actually secured front row seats to a show, further still, it an incredible display that seemed to go on forever.
We travel over the Rocky Mountains on one of the most scenic and DIFFICULT to drive roads, the Colorado Million Dollar Highway. One of most scenic roads in America. the highway is a 25 mile stretch of two-lane mountain road between Ouray and Silverton, Colorado.
Along this road you will frequently find open views of the mountains over shoulder-less steer drop-offs, as well as many back to back hairpin turns. It's a beautiful drive, but NOT when you are pulling a trailer behind and the hitch breaks!
Join us on a virtual journey to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in 2024! Explore the stunning vistas, towering cliffs, and the mighty Gunnison River cutting through the canyon. Discover the beauty and grandeur of this hidden gem in Colorado as we take you on a visual tour of one of America's most awe-inspiring national parks.
Join us as we journey to Arches National Park, one of the most beautiful and unique national parks within the entire lower 48. We take with us to the best arches, on amazing hikes, and to unique monoliths. We also show you how to secure the timed entry pass and where the best spots are for night photography.
At the conclusion of 2023 we traveled to both national parks associated with the Wright Brothers and their staggering accomplishments. The main site is in Dayton Ohio and of course, the one everyone knows, the location of the worlds first manned and power flight, Kitty Hawk, NC.
While the video captures our time at these location, I also spend a lot of time documenting the many amazing accomplishments of the brothers and the problems they encounter in doing so.
